# What is PIG$?
**Flying Pigs (PIG$)** is an MPL 404 mission-coin that is creating a perpetual engine of funding for the world’s best environmental and humanitarian impact projects. Flying Pigs is the brainchild of [Dollar Donation Club](https://dollardonationclub.com/), a revolutionary donation platform aiming to create the world’s first collective billionaire super-philanthropist, made up of millions of people giving as little as $1/month.
Flying Pigs leverages the power of decentralized finance (DeFi) and regenerative finance (ReFi) to "make pigs fly" (aka, do the "impossible"), solving gnarly global challenges such as pollution, deforestation, hunger, poverty, and beyond. We are calling on all **Regens** to leverage the full power of DeFi for good.
**How Do We Make Pigs Fly?**
1. **BUY THE TOKEN** - As the meme spreads and more people buy the token (meme 4 impact).
2. **STAKE 2 IMPACT** - As holders stake their tokens to earn big rewards and vote on which impact project proposals will be awarded funding.
3. **BUILD YOUR PIG PEN** - Swap your tokens for Flying Pig NFTs of varying rarities to potentially earn massive multipliers on your staking rewards.
Unlike traditional tokens, Flying Pigs integrates a mission-coin mechanism that prioritizes the community, and supports real-world impact projects through unique NFTs and a vibrant, engaged community. Now how do we intend to accomplish? Glad you asked...
**A Revolutionary 80% Staking Rewards Pool**
As a community-driven mission coin, the goal of Flying Pigs is to drive continued support for the project & its mission, as a result the team has allocated 80% of the total supply of tokens to a community staking rewards pool. Yup, these pigs fly without rugs! No rug = price go up and to the right for the community, and for the planet.\

Each voting period, 1% of the supply will be distributed amongst the voters of the winning proposal proportional to their staking commitment.
**NFTs = Flying Pigs**
Flying Pigs NFTs enable multipliers to be earned on the community reward pool. The higher the rarity of the NFT, the higher the prospective multiplier. For example, if user A stakes 100 tokens out of a total voting pool of 1,000 tokens, user A will receive 10% of the available pool as rewards. However, if User B also stakes 100 tokens out of a pool of 1,000 but additionally stakes a legendary NFT (3x multiplier), then User B will receive 30% of the available pool of funds with non-NFT holders being diluted proportionally.
**Impact Treasury**
The **Impact Treasury** accumulates funds over the voting periods, subsequently executing transactions to send funds to the winning impact proposal (vetted projects). This treasury is populated as users convert Tokens to NFT's. When users acquire NFTs within our ecosystem, they will lock 250,000 tokens in our swapping contract and receive a random NFT. 5% or, 12,500 tokens, will be retained by the platform to populate the Impact Treasury and fund ongoing operations. When the winning proposal is announced at the end of the voting period, the Impact Treasury funds are directed to the appropriate initiative, and the Impact Treasury is ready to be repopulated in the coming voting cycle.\

Funds from the Impact Treasury go to highly vetted projects voted on by the community, and each project provides additional opportunities for Flying Pigs to show up in the world with media, storytelling and PR, further driving the mission into the world.
