# Impact Proposals

 

Every 2 weeks the **Flying Pigs** community has an opportunity to vote on rotating impact proposals that have clear results (Return on Donation). These projects must pass through the DDC Vetting Criteria in order to be listed as staking options.

The Flying Pigs community is dedicated to being the first blue-chip mission coin driving the Regen ethos forward. This will be accomplished through community voting periods where token holders will be able to vote on proposals submitted to determine which proposal will receive that period's **Impact** **Treasury**.

The Impact Treasury's voting periods will take place bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) and will be displayed to users under four categories, Earth, Ocean, Wildlife, and Humanity. Each category will have several organizations within that have all successfully completed the DDC Vetting Criteria.

Each voting  period will last for 3 days, at the conclusion the voting period, the category with the highest number of tokens staked will receive that period's Impact Treasury, distributed proportionally across all participating organizations.

As voting on these proposals represent the backbone of the Flying Pigs ecosystem, there is an 80% staking rewards pool, where 1% will be distributed to the users who voted for the successful proposal, proportional to the amount of tokens staked in the entire pool. In this way, successful voters will be able to receive 1% per voting period in rewards.

After funds have been distributed to the impact initiatives, results and proof-of-impact will be demonstrated through media, storytelling and data back to the Flying Pigs community. \ <br>
